Enigma is proud to support the Anthony Nolan Trust as its chosen charity, as it is an organisation that, amongst helping thousands of people, prolonged the life of our own Becs Shepheard.
Becs was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease in Spring 2009 - a disease prevalent in elderly men - but as we keep saying, Enigma ladies are special! Due to the tireless work and research of ANT, a donor match was found for Becs and she underwent 2 transplants in Summer/Autumn 2009. She was back on the pitch - in body if not with skill - late in the 2009-10 season, and was working her way back to fitness.
Unfortunately Becs passed away on the 2th July 2012 but her passion and spirit will always be with and be a part of Enigma Ladies Hockey Club
We encourage everyone to sign up and register to help save lives.
With kind donations including from the following:-
